Doll accessories

Doll accessories include a wide range of items. Perhaps the top example to come to many minds is that of clothing. Some apparel articles are included with the purchase of a doll while others are sold separately. There is also the option of creating clothing yourself.

Other doll accessories include the homes made to house them. The different items used to furnish such little homes are also valuable accessories. Occasionally, if a particular figure has a strong identity, the other figures purchased to accompany it could be considered accessories. This is particularly true of pet animal likenesses.

There are many different scales in which doll accessories may come. Knowing the scale helps a person collecting from a variety of resources to keep the items consistently sized for one another. For example, most of the little homes created for the entertainment of children exist in eighteenth scale (1:18.) On the other hand, twelfth scale (1:12) is more commonly used for adult collector items.
